A rainy day in your RV is better then a sunny day at work right?!
But a rainy day in an RV can be rough with small kids can be a day ruiner. Bored kids with too much energy are bound to get into trouble, argue and fight and eventually throw those lovely temper tantrums. No amount of coffee helps that in close quarters. I have rounded up our list of Rainy Day activities for those indoor days when you are in your RV.
Board Games and Card Games
This one is a no brainer. A nice collection of board games that all of your campers can play together is a great way to spend time together while killing a couple rainy hours. If space is an issue, many board games come in travel sizes. Our current favourites are Snakes and Ladders and Candy Land. Cards are great for adults if you are lucky enough to get a nap out of your kids. If not, 52 pick up will probably be in your future!
My kids LOVE puzzles. They hold their attention for a long time and we also love putting them together so puzzles are a big win in our RV. Pick up a few in varying difficulties and tuck them away for a rainy day. We get most of our puzzles from the dollar tree. They have puzzles up to 500 pieces and they are only $1.25! Since you are in a tight space, chances are you wont lose any pieces.
Bring all the movies! We pack a ton of DVDs and load up the iPad with movies and shows that the kids and grown ups like. Don’t forget to bring a few for the grown ups. When the kids go to sleep you may want to watch a few episodes of Golden Girls. Right now the trailer is full of Paw Patrol episodes.
Do your kids love blind bags? Mine are just crazy for these little surprise bags. They love to open and them and see which Shopkin or Secret Life of Pets character they got and check them off the enclosed lists. For a couple bucks a blind bag, these little trinkets get a ton of use at our house so I like to have a few on hand if I need to quickly pick up the mood on a dreary day.
All I have to say is close the blinds and crank up the music cause, glow in the dark glow stick dance party!
Yep. Pack the rain boots and rain coats and get out and get wet. I mean, you probably got your RV to get out with your kids and have an adventure. Don’t let the rain slow you down! You can always have a hot shower and watch a few movies and eat stove top popcorn when you get back to the RV!
