We enjoy Halloween through the entire month of October, only taking a pause to celebrate Thanksgiving. I have been collecting and making Halloween decor and decorations for a few years now and I love how switching out some pictures for Halloween themed printable adds to the ghoulish feeling around the house.
I am always on the hunt for sneaky and creative ways to trick my two year old into eating more fruits and veggies. Unlike his older sister, he has zero interest in anything that isn’t bread, meat or dairy and it gives me anxiety thinking about all the nutrition he could be missing out on. Take away the foods he is allergic to and I need to get creative… even try bribery to get some fresh foods into him.
Welcome to the Haunted Mansion!
My home is far from being updated and completed based on our personal style but Halloween is one of our favourite times of year to make our otherwise regular home a little creepy and spooky. I shared a list of my favourite Halloween staples you can find at the Dollar Store and today you can see where all those finds end up during the month of October.
If you followed along with the $100 Room Challenge last month you may have noticed I refinished a chair from top to bottom. To see the chair in the room reveal, you can catch up HERE.
I had originally planned on blowing half my $100 dollar budget on a beautiful ghost chair that ended up selling out before I could snag one. Cue my tears. So I asked my in-laws if I could scour their barn for something that I could use and I came upon this lovely.
The spookiest month of the year is upon us and it’s time to think about Halloween costumes, scary decorations, celebrations and CANDY! Is your Teal pumpkin ready?! Have you heard of the Teal Pumpkin Project?
What is it?
The Teal Pumpkin Project aims to raise awareness about food allergies and make Halloween inclusive of all kids by encouraging homes participating in handing out candy, to offer non-food treats or non-food treat options to trick-or-treaters who may have life threatening food allergies or otherwise are not able to eat candy.
Halloween is one of our favourite times of the year and we love to go all out with spooky Halloween decorations both inside and outside. I thought I would share my 5 favourite Halloween decorations which inexpensive but make a big impact. The best part is, they are all from the Dollar Store. So no big investment here!

I almost hate to admit it but I am starting to love Halloween just as much as I love Christmas. And I LOVE Christmas. I wanted to make something extra creepy for the front door. I have always loved those big bags of bones you can buy during the Halloween season so I decided to pick one of those up and make something scary! [Read more…]
