Our pup Minnie turned 1 year old a couple weeks ago! I can’t believe this little fur-ball has been with us almost a full year. She has been a huge handful but we couldn’t imagine life without her. She is our 3rd baby and we love her to pieces.
This was the day she came home.
When the spring came, she learned how much fun playing outside without snow can be.
She became a helpful gardener.
She chewed a lot of things. Some approved and some unapproved.
She needed a bath more than once after some of her adventures.
She looks amazing in a faux fur stole.
She joined us on a few camping adventures. And she is also the kids’ best friend.
To celebrate her special day we tried our hand at making homemade dog biscuits. I looked a lots of recipes and this recipe from Baking Mischief looked good as there was no peanut butter or banana which are huge allergens for one of our kids. I made a couple of adaptations and changes but the original recipe is HERE for you to have a peek.
You Will Need:
1 Cup of Flour
1 Cup of Quick Oats
1 Cup of Grated Carrots
3/4 Cup applesauce
1 Tbsp Honey
Combine everything in a bowl and form into circles an place them on a lined baking sheet. The dough is sticky but it will dry out during baking.
Bake for 30 min at 350 degrees
Let cool and have your pup enjoy!
And an extra special Happy Birthday to our favourite fur baby Minnie!
