Halloween is one of our favourite times of the year and we love to go all out with spooky Halloween decorations both inside and outside. I thought I would share my 5 favourite Halloween decorations which inexpensive but make a big impact. The best part is, they are all from the Dollar Store. So no big investment here!
Every year as soon as they come out, I scoop up a couple of these plastic black rats from Dollar Tree. They are the perfect amount of creepy and are really easy to place around the house for a spooky haunted touch. I have at least 10 by now and I like but them all over the living room and kitchen.
Glass Skull Figures
I adore these small glass skulls and they are a new addition this year. They will look great on book shelves or mantles. My plan for then is to make a skull cloche or vignette with them. I also like that they will transition nicely from a super scary look to something more subtle when the kids grow up and we don’t go as crazy for Halloween anymore.
LED Flickery Candles
These LED flickering window candle are a steal for $1.25 a pop. They do take 2 AA batteries which need to be purchased separately. These look great at the front door for tricker or treaters to see as you hand out candy, on mantles or book shelves. I also like that they are kid and pet safe and the flickery glow is extra spooky!
Mini Foam Pumpkins
These mini foam pumpkins are a less scary but equally cute addition to our Halloween home decor. These 3 were new additions which I picked up at the dollar section of my local Walmart for $1.28 each but I have found these all over the place. They transition nicely from Fall to Halloween decor and come in all sorts of colours and patterns to match your theme.
I love these board signs that you can find at the Dollar Tree and I have a few for each season. I use them to doll up an entryway or door. The one below is my favourite for Halloween. The kids think it’s hilarious. Not bad for $1.00 at Dollar Tree!
So what are your Halloween go to decor items? How do you decorate for Halloween?
