Hello and Happy 2018! I hope you had a lovely time with your family and friends over the holidays. I am so looking forward to really getting back to blogging (Including a blog name change coming soon!), and getting lots of home projects knocked off my list this year. Speaking of home projects…
I am back at the $100 Room Challenge this month along with a bunch of other great bloggers to transform one room, in one month for $100 dollars. Erin at Lemons, Lavender and Laundry created this challenge and I am so glad to be participating once again.
If you would like more information on the challenge and to see a few of the rooms Erin transformed, $100 Room Challenge – Lemons, Lavender and Laundry has all the details.
The closet in my little one’s room is right now a catch-all for… everything. If I don’t know where it should go, I stuff it in the closet. Do you remember the Friends episode where Chandler takes the closet door off the hinges to reveal Monica’s pile of junk? That is my son’s closet.
Now that he is getting bigger and we are starting to get in control of ridding the house of extra “stuff”, cleaning out and organizing his closet will be the focus of my $100 Room Challenge. I would like to give him a place for his clothes, toys and crafts all organized, labeled and in it’s own place.
Ok. I am opening the door now….
I told you it was bad! This is real life. And that is not a roll of toilet paper on the top shelf. It’s cloth diaper liners (because that’s any better?) and I have never cloth diapered either of my children. So figure that one out!
- PURGE! Lose the junk, lose the broken still, re-home the stuff we are keeping and then go through what is left and purge again!
- Install hanging rod. His clothes don’t take up much space but it would be nice to store them in his room and not in his big sisters closet.
- Create an organized storage solution for craft supplies, books etc. We have a larger project going on downstairs and until that is complete we will need some of this space as a shared storage space.
Next week I will be back with some inspiration and hopefully a lot less junk!
