I cant believe we are already in week 2 of the $100 Room Challenge! I have been busy getting ideas together for our master bedroom, then scratching those plans, starting again, going on Pinterest and then scrapping the new plans. I have had so many ideas swirling in my head that I needed to just get something done. Something to help set the tone for the room.
I purchased these pineapple Wall Pops decals for $20.00 and as soon as they arrived, I knew I wanted these up in the room. So my darling husband and I got to work creating a pattern and grid to have the pineapples follow. I seriously had no idea how hard getting this grid started would be. Even after triple checking my math, we had to make a few minor adjustments to get the entire wall divided and ready to apply the decals.
When the grid was up, I wiped the wall down to remove any dust that may have kept my pineapples from adhering properly. Don’t you love the dark photos? Ha! The only time we can get some work done is just before the kids bedtime and just after. Late projects, crappy photos!
I applied the pineapples in the pattern we had predetermined. Putting them on is so easy, peel and stick!
We had a couple of professional un-decorators come in and check out the progress just before bedtime. They determined it was “too green” and asked “what did you do to this room!?” They are drawn to all things Paw Patrol so decorating with fruit was not to their taste.
The next morning we peeled off the tape and I am in LOVE. I love how they look and I think they have helped me decide how I want the final product to look. What I am working on now is some DIY art work, bedding and some DIY pillow covers. Stay tuned!
